Erin Moyen Peters, BDT(DONA), PCD(DONA), LCCE, CLE
There is no denying my passion for birth, early parenting and infants! It is for this reason I educate, support and advocate for safe woman-centered pregnancy and childbirth. Desiring to provide continuity to Alberta families, I am the owner and director of Chavah Childbirth Services Inc., an Alberta birth services agency. You can learn more <here>. I support the birth community as a Lamaze certified childbirth educator, DONA International birth doula trainer, certified birth + postpartum doula and certified lactation educator trained through the Simkin Centre for Allied Birth Vocations (Bastyr University). During the last decade I have had the opportunity to reside in both Northern and Southern Alberta. While in Grande Prairie I was actively involved in the birth community and had the pleasure of supporting many families throughout their childbearing year. Prior to returning to the Calgary area in 2015, I co-facilitated the Grande Prairie Breastfeeding Circle, was the host of the Grande Prairie film screening of "A Mother is Born" and was a member of the initial steering committee for the Pregnancy Care Centre. Without question my love for the doula profession keeps me where I feel I can make the most impact on maternity care, thus my desire to train individuals like you in Alberta! Doula workshops inspire, motivate, and give me hope for the future. |
"What amazing news for the Alberta birth community! Seriously don't think there could be a better teacher/mentor out there!!!" - MTB
